Braks goal is to help build more knowledge about the administrative part of making, communicating and selling music. We advise on anything from how to run a business, artist promotion, funding applications, tour organizing and starting a festival, among other things. Brak provides counseling, seminars and workshops.

The organization is government funded and independently run.

Vill Vill Vest

Vill Vill Vest is a festival for new music, showcasing about 70 emerging Norwegian artists, situated in the beautiful city of Bergen on the west coast of Norway. The festival runs three days from 9th to 11th of November 2023 on 8 venues within walkable distance. Vill Vill Vest is attended by the music industry looking for talents as well as new business partners. Brak presents a conference featuring insightful panels, topical debates and keynote lectures.

Around 500 delegates attend the festival and conference, including extraordinary activities for the delegates such as the delegate cruise, funicular ride to mount Fløyen and early morning swims in the outdoor pool at Nordnes sjøbad.

Bergen Songs

Bergen Songs by Brak is an annual songwriting camp that was held for the first time in April 2016. Bergen Songs is an arena where new and established songwriters and producers develop their skill and networks for future expansion of their career.
